The Horned King (Philippines)

Long ago, in a kingdom in the Philippines, there was a king who was very cruel.

The King is famous for being often angry & cursing his people using harsh words.

One day, the king was walking outside the royal palace.

Out of emotion, the King cursed at an old witch's woman.

The king felt very angry because the witch's old woman dared to fight him.

"You are an evil and rude king! Your words are only appropriate for an animal. " said the old witch's grandmother. After saying a curse sentence, the witch's old woman disappeared somewhere.

After the witch's old woman disappeared, The king then returned to the royal palace while furiously cursing at the witch's old grandmother.

Without realizing it, when angry, in the king's head grew a pair of horns.

Arriving at the palace, the King was very surprised to see a pair of horns growing on his head.

The king immediately called the palace barber.

The king then ordered him to cut a pair of horns on his head.

"Sorry King, I am a barber, I am unable to cut the King's horn." the barber replied to the king.

"OK. You go on. But watch out! Don't let anyone know about my two horns. If anyone finds out, I will punish you. " threatened the king to the barber.

The barber promised the king that he would keep the secret.

He left the king.

At first the palace barber was able to keep a secret about the king's horns.

However, over time, the barber accidentally related the king's horns to a palace official.

News quickly grew that a pair of King's horns spread in the palace, until finally it spread throughout the kingdom.

Meanwhile the King felt very ashamed of his condition.

The longer the horn gets longer.

A pair of King's horns almost covered his face.

All forms of treatment have been tried by the King, but none have been successful.

Finally, the King never left the palace again.

The people of the kingdom were in an uproar with their King never appearing in public.

Until one night, unable to bear the shame, the King decided to go from the palace to the forest.

He invited his queen to live in the forest to leave the royal throne and its people.

The King finally stayed alone in the forest.

The king deeply regrets all his actions.

Message from the story: saying rude can hurt other people's feelings and can give ugly prayers to us
