Japan or Nihon is an island country in East Asia located in the northwest Pacific Ocean. It borders the Sea of Japan to the west, and it extends from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south. Japan is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire and comprises an archipelago of 6,852 islands covering 377,975 square kilometers (145,937 sq mi); its five main islands, from north to south, are Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, and Okinawa. Tokyo is the country's capital and largest city; other major cities include Osaka and Nagoya. 

In a village, there is a very poor farmer named Taro. The poor peasant always prayed to the temple to escape poverty. Taro was very diligent at the temple, until one day, he fell asleep after praying at the temple.

In ancient times, there was a young man who was known to be kind and diligent at work. One time, the man passed a river. On the way, his feet caught in a cloth. Finally the cloth is taken and stored in a basket that he carries. However, a beautiful woman approached the young man. "Did you find my angel's shirt?, Asked the beautiful woman. 

In a village in Japan, lived a pair of grandparents.They are already old.One day, grandma went to the river to wash clothes.While washing, grandma saw a peach or momo fruit in Japanese, washed away by the river currents.The grandmother then picked up the momo fruit to take home. 

According to a children's fairy tale from Japan, long ago there lived a kind-hearted young man named Urashima Taro. He lives with his mother in a house by the beach.

In ancient times, there was a husband and wife who really wanted to have children. Therefore, they are very diligent to the temple to pray to be blessed with a child.
