The Ugly Duckling (England)

A mother hen is incubating her eggs. One by one the eggs hatch into yellow chicks. However, there is one of her children who is gray, not yellow like her siblings. The mother hen felt very surprised to see her children's gray fur.

The different ducks became a joke for her siblings because of their different feathers and the worst looks among them. The ugly duckling felt very sad. She then decided to leave her relatives and family. She wants to meet a duck friend who has the same fur as her.

Every time she meets a duck, the ugly duckling always asks "have you ever seen a duck that is the same color as my fur?"

"You are the ugliest duck I have ever seen," said the duck on the riverbank.

Once upon a time, in England, there was an old woman who had myopic eyes catching her because she thought the duck was a female goose. The ugly duckling was put into the cage. The old woman hoped that the duck could lay eggs.

A chicken that lives in a cage with an ugly duckling says "hey, you have to be able to lay eggs, otherwise the old women will slaughter you and eat you!". The ugly duckling was scared, but she managed to escape.

The poor duckling then hides in the bush. She knows that all ducks don't like her. "Then, let me hide in these bushes," said the ugly duckling.

When winter comes, the duck wants to come out of hiding. Because they feel hungry and the food supply in the bush is gone. However, because her body was tired, the ugly duckling fainted.

A farmer takes and brings the duck back to his home. The farmer and his children love to care for the ugly duckling with great affection. Until finally the duck has grown.

Seeing the ducklings have grown up, farmers then release them into the wild. So that she can see her own reflection on the surface of the water.

"Oh I have grown up and my form has changed!" thought the duckling.

And she saw the area around her, a group of geese were swimming in the water. She saw her form the same as the beautiful swans. Now she is a beautiful young swan. Apparently, when it was still an egg, maybe it was accidentally put into a group of chicken eggs. No wonder it's different from chicken or other ducks.

The young swan is swimming and flapping its beautiful wings. Now she is very happy.

Message from the story: Don't give up easily. Every creature has advantages and disadvantages of each.
